It may not be your regular “grateful” list. I wrote it a few months ago, as an image to go along with an article I wrote called The Busy Mom’s Guide to Gratitude. Today I noticed it’s been shared over 10 thousand times. (To see the original picture on Facebook, go here.)
After reading the comments on various shares of the post, I was once again reminded about how powerful gratitude can be… and I thought it would be nice to create a printable poster of the original text to have somewhere in the house.
UPDATE:
I have a new gorgeous printable available that you can purchase as part of the Grateful Mama Project, where 100% of your donation goes to mothers in need. Learn more here!
The free printout below is very simple so you can draw pictures around it or cut it out a bit smaller to put it on the fridge, or do any other creative art project with it that you like (I know all you mamas out there have brilliant ideas!). It looks like this:
You can download the PDF by clicking here.
If you do print out the poster and make something with it, I’d love to see it. Upload it to my Facebook page – it will totally make my day 🙂
Motherhood can be hard and it is nice to have positive messages helping us make it through the day with joy and thankfulness for all we have. Feel free to share with a friend.
If this is your first visit to Moments A Day, I write lots of posts about helping kids build character and positive parenting. You may like to check out some of my activities for kids, my ebooks, or browse my most popular posts. You can also sign up for my newsletter.

Chelsea,
What a great way to re-frame some of the daily grind into meaningful moments. I often wash dishes and as I look at little silverware think to myself how lucky I am to have little ones in my life to love and care for. Thank you for this list- and now off to find a reason to be grateful for vacuuming dog hair 😉

Yes it’s a daily challenge and opportunity to see the best… not always easy but worth the effort. x

I adore this. I recently wrote a post about how I try to make peace with the laundry situation. I know I should be thankful for it, and I am, but I still have trouble re-framing it in my mind. This is such a sweet post 🙂

How interesting that I just heard on FB a mother singing a “mother’s point of view” version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and I commented that it would be nice to hear a hallelujah to a child wanting to do things for themselves and making a mess or not sleeping during the night and then today I find your list. I am going to spread this one for sure! BTW I knew a mother of 7 who was thrilled to see her clothesline filled with clean cloth diapers because to her it meant that she was caring for her children and it was a blessing to have that opportunity.

This a great reminder of what not to take for granted. I’ve been trying to make some changes in my life and my families. And we can all use these kind of reminders. I saw this on a female friends face book page so I checked it out and then shared it on mine. It’s a great reminder for Dads as well. Great work.

I love this so much! I’m a graphic designer and would LOVE to re-create and post this on my blog. Please contact me – I would of course give you full credit! ❤️

This is a really sweet list. Often times we take a lot for granted. Reading this list made me grateful for the few things on this list I have and the things on this list I use to have and lost, to no fault of my own. To those of you who are blessed to have all of this and more, be thankful. You never know when things will change. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful reminder to wake up to as we start our busy day! I am so grateful for my home and family! When my now grown kids first moved out, I was really sad to not see dirty socks thrown under the glass coffee table – rather a silly annoyance at the time! Now I would treasure them. Remember everyone, their youth is exceedingly fleeting, enjoy them while you can. I know, I know, old news! Have a love day, all mums out therre!
