Remembering my “personal truths” helps me maintain perspective throughout everyday life. Motherhood is very rewarding but it is also extremely challenging, and can sometimes feel like a lonely, thankless job. I find when I seek out ways to be grateful, and maintain a positive and forgiving attitude towards myself and everyone else, I can be a much better (and happier) mom.
Here are some of the points I try to remind myself of often, which will also be reflected in the articles published on my website:
I hope these main points come across in my articles:
- my belief that we are all trying our best and striving every day;
- my deep passion for character education and its ability to transform lives for the better;
- my trust in the power of acts of kindness, no matter how small.
I invite you to share your thoughts and experiences on my posts at any time – I would love to learn from your insights as well.
If you are having a hard day, I invite you to take a look at my post Top 10 Tricks of Stay-At-Home-Moms to Turn A {Bad} Day around. Life – no matter what role or daytime job we have – is not easy, and it never will be. How wonderful it would be if we as moms did our best to try to encourage each other.
What are some beliefs you have about motherhood, or life in general, that help you stay positive?

Thanks Kate! I wanted to post them as a reminder to myself as well… I know this stuff in reflection but in the heat of an emotional day, it’s nice to have a place to look back on them. xx
