It can be frustrating to cancel outdoor plans and feel a bit isolating to be at home when rainy days hit unexpectedly (or even if you expect it).  Both kids and parents can start to get snappy with each other after being indoors for hours on end, and – as I always remind myself – reverting to extra screen time doesn’t make moods better in the long run.

And remember, once the rain clears up a bit, don’t be afraid to go outside and enjoy some wet play too!  This can be tons of fun for kids and adults.  Make some mud pies, play ball, and do some gardening.
