Rosie is making muffins but Blue is really hungry right now! They discuss what to do when you feel impatient. Watch the latest episode of Rosie & Blue called “Rosie makes muffins” here:
Virtue featured:
Patience is waiting without complaining and trusting that things that need to happen will happen eventually. Rosie gives Blue some ideas about what to do while he’s waiting.
Discussion questions:
What did Rosie make?
Why did Blue not want to wait?
What did Rosie suggest Blue do?
Older children may benefit from making a list of things they have to wait for each day – at home, at school, on the playground, etc.
Activity:
Figure out a game to play or song to sing when you are waiting. You can list a few favourite songs and think of several games that can be played by yourself or if you are waiting with someone else. “I Spy,” “Simon Says” and storytelling work quite well. Of course having a small pad of paper and a pen in your bag is a lifesaver as well. Dot-to-dot, Pictionary, and Hang Man (for spellers, of course) are great.
